Reeling in Support: 5th Annual Little Big Fishing Tournament Raises Over $182K

The waters off Cape Cod were buzzing with excitement on June 19, 2025, as the 5th Annual Little Big Fishing Tournament brought together 32 boats and 160 anglers in support of a cause close to home. Hosted by E.J. Jaxtimer Builder, Inc., this year’s tournament raised an incredible $182,695 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands—a testament to the power of community and the impact of giving back.
The two-day tournament wrapped up with a lively evening celebration at Baxter’s Fish 'N Chips, the tournament’s longtime sponsor and gracious host. Guests enjoyed raffle prizes, a high-energy live auction, and an awards ceremony recognizing standout catches—including the heaviest striped bass and bluefish landed by both adult and junior anglers.
Since its inception in 2021, the Little Big Fishing Tournament has raised over $857,000 to help support and expand the life-changing mentorship programs provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands. These funds go directly toward building transformative, professionally-supported relationships between adult mentors and youth from under-resourced families—connections that shape futures, build confidence, and strengthen the Cape Cod community for generations to come.
As E.J. Jaxtimer shared, “We would not be able to raise all of this money without the generosity from our local community.” That generosity continues to fuel the organization's mission: ensuring that every child who needs a mentor has access to one.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Baxter family and Baxter’s Fish 'N Chips for their ongoing sponsorship and for providing the perfect setting for this impactful event.
