HBRACC Announces 2026 President, Honors Cape Cod Industry Leaders
The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod (HBRACC) gathered on December 16, 2025, for its Annual Meeting in Hyannis, marking a meaningful close to a year defined by progress, collaboration, and strong industry advocacy across Cape Cod. The evening brought members together to celebrate shared accomplishments, recognize outstanding leadership, and formally install Todd Duffany of M. Duffany Builders as the Association’s 2026 President.
The Annual Meeting served as both a reflection on the year behind and a forward-looking moment for the Cape Cod building and remodeling community, highlighting the people and partnerships shaping the region’s housing future.
A Year of Progress Under April Ducott’s Leadership
Outgoing President April Ducott of Monomoy Home reflected on a transformative two-year term marked by organizational growth and renewed purpose. During her presidency, HBRACC strengthened its internal governance, modernized its bylaws, revitalized committees, and improved day-to-day operations—laying the groundwork for long-term stability and effectiveness.
Ducott also prioritized expanded partnerships, workforce development initiatives, and advocacy around housing attainability, helping position the Association as a strong and credible voice for the building industry across Cape Cod. Her leadership played a critical role during a period of executive transition and major governance reform.
In recognition of her extraordinary service, Ducott was presented with the inaugural Cornerstone Award, honoring her hands-on leadership and lasting impact during a pivotal chapter in the Association’s history.
Celebrating a Landmark Year for HBRACC
During the meeting, HBRACC highlighted several major accomplishments from 2025 that underscored the strength and engagement of its membership. Among the most notable was a record-breaking Building & Remodeling Industry of Cape Cod (BRICC) Awards program, which received nearly 200 submissions across 38 categories—an unprecedented level of participation.
Funds raised through association events helped launch Skilled Purpose, a second-chance carpentry training program supported by proceeds from the Nail Bangers’ Golf Tournament. Members also celebrated the Association’s most successful Residential Construction Career Day to date, reinforcing HBRACC’s commitment to workforce development and the future of the trades.
The evening also recognized significant advocacy wins, reflecting sustained grassroots engagement at both the local and state levels.
