The greens of The Ridge Club in Sandwich, MA, were filled with energy and purpose on Monday, June 16, 2025, as Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod hosted its 4th Annual Home in One Golf Tournament. Presented by Shepley Wood Products, this sold-out event brought together generous sponsors, enthusiastic golfers, and a shared mission—to build more affordable homes for local Cape Cod families.

Thanks to the incredible support of the community, the tournament raised over $110,000, every dollar of which will go directly toward creating safe, energy-efficient homes that remain affordable for generations.

A Day of Community and Competition

With a strong turnout of players and sponsors, the event was a clear success. Special thanks go to Shepley Wood Products for serving as the exclusive sponsor, and to major supporters including Oceanside Restoration, BizChecks Payroll, Friedline & Carter Adjustment LLC, Mid-Cape Home Centers, Marvin, Hilb Group New England, Coastal Mechanical, Falmouth Toyota, Camp Babu, Cape Cod 5, Pina Brothers Custom Carpentry, Dillon Public Adjusters Inc., and M.S. Walker.

The tournament's winning foursome was proudly claimed by Pina Brothers Custom Carpentry, and the day was brought together through the efforts of Steve Jenney, a former Habitat Cape Cod Board Member, and Eileen Kennedy of Oceanside Restoration. The impactful Fund-a-Need segment was led by State Representative and current Board Member Steven Xiarhos, helping to drive the day’s impressive fundraising total.

Building More Than Just Homes

“Our hearts are full with gratitude,” said Wendy Cullinan, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. “Every dollar raised brings us closer to welcoming new families into homes of their own.”

That momentum continues—homeownership applications will open this summer for four homes in Falmouth, two in Brewster, and one in Bourne. Habitat Cape Cod has already completed nearly 200 homes from Bourne to Provincetown, and current builds are underway in Dennis and Wellfleet, with additional projects planned across Yarmouth, Marstons Mills, Orleans, North Falmouth, and more.

More Than a Roof

Habitat homes aren’t just affordable—they’re built with care, energy efficiency, and community at their core. Future homeowners are selected through a drawing and invest hundreds of hours of “sweat equity,” working alongside volunteers to build their homes. Once completed, homes are sold through an affordable mortgage and are deed-restricted to remain affordable forever.

As a nationally recognized leader in sustainable affordable housing, Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod continues to rely on the generosity of the local community to carry out its mission.
