The Blitz Build Kickoff Was One for the Books
Nearly 100 members, sponsors, volunteers and guests gathered at 805 Gifford Street Extension on August 11 for the 2026 Blitz Build Kickoff Party & Member Mixer — and for the first time ever, we held it right on the build site behind the Falmouth ReStore. Over Brazilian BBQ from Diego, Swirls by Shannon (donated by Andersen), and a beautiful August evening, guests heard from Blitz and community leaders, met past Blitz families and the 2026 family, and steps from where a three-bedroom home will go up from frame to finish in just five days.
Thank you to our event sponsors — QXO, Ideal Design Center, Mid-Cape Home Centers, Bellew Tile & Marble, Monomoy Home, McPhee Associates of Cape Cod, and M. Duffany Builders — and to the more than 60 companies donating labor and materials to this build. Special thanks to Cape & Coast Bank, Cape Cod 5, and the Martha's Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation, who are feeding our crews all week long.
The build is September 21–25. Stay tuned for updates.
